Help Edgar Dutan: A Young Man's Fight for Life and Family

In life, we all dream of a better future — for ourselves and for the ones we love. Edgar Dutan came to this country with those dreams, hoping to build a better life for himself and his family back in Ecuador. He worked tirelessly with the hope that one day, his sacrifices would lead to a brighter future for his wife, son, and loved ones.

But tragically, Edgar’s life was changed in an instant. Last week, while working, he suffered a devastating fall, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. After five surgeries on his head, Edgar remains in a coma, and his family is left in a state of uncertainty, hoping and praying for a miracle.

Edgar has only one brother here in the U.S., and he has been by his side every step of the way. But his brother also faces his own challenges. He has a young daughter with serious heart problems who requires constant care. While he stays with Edgar, supporting him through this unimaginable time, he still has to work to provide for his own family. Edgar’s mother is desperate to be with her son during this critical time, but the cost of travel is an impossible burden. On top of everything, Edgar’s wife and son are in the process of applying for a visa, hoping to join him and support him in his fight.

This family needs our help — not just for medical expenses, but for the travel costs and the basic support they need to be together. Edgar’s family deserves to be united, to have the chance to be by his side as he fights for his life. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming, and they can't do this alone.
