Help Eden Serve with YWAM in Australia & Beyond

A message from my daughter Eden (all funds go directly towards her trip)!:

Hi friends and family,

My name is Eden Wood, and I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to spend the next 6 months with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) through their Discipleship Training School (DTS).

For the first 3 months, I’ll be in Australia growing in discipleship, learning how to deepen my relationship with God, and being trained in practical ministry. Then, for the next 3 months, I’ll join a missions outreach somewhere in the world (the exact location will be chosen by my team once we arrive—last year, students went to places like Africa and Southeast Asia).

This is more than just a trip—it’s a chance to step into adulthood in a powerful way, be stretched outside my comfort zone, and serve people in real need.

Why this matters to me:

I’ve always had a heart to serve others. I’ve been on short-term missions, volunteered in my community, and even mentored younger girls, and am jokingly called “the mom” of my friend groups.

This DTS will help me grow closer to God, discover His calling on my life, and give me the chance to put faith into action—loving people, meeting needs, and spreading hope.

Instead of going straight into college this year, I believe God is calling me to take this time to serve and grow in ways a classroom can’t provide.

The need:

The total cost of the program, including tuition, outreach, travel, food, and insurance, is about $15,000.

I’ve been working hard to cover most of it myself—I’ll be contributing $8,000 from my own savings and work, and my parents are adding another $2,000. That leaves me with a $5,000 gap to raise.
