Eden is not well. Historically, Eden has been an excellent high school student with straight A's, multiple awards, achievements, and involvement in extracurricular activities. She also tutored students in her school and has regularly provided service to elderly friends and children in her community.
All of this has been put on hold. Eden is now having many cognitive issues, including aphasia. She has had a few undiagnosed blackout and fainting spells. Lately, her vision goes in and out where everything turns black. She's had phantom leg pain since July and numbness in one arm. Multiple doctor's visits and tests haven't revealed anything yet. Eden’s pain is so severe now that it's hard for her to walk, and she has had to drop out of cross-country running, a sport she loves. She has been homebound since October 2nd, and her health continues to decline.
Eden has upcoming appointments and follow-ups with specialists in cardiology and neurology. Eden has already been tested for diabetes, Lyme disease, mono, thyroid, blood clots, etc. Medical bills are stacking up.
More specialized tests like MRIs are being scheduled. Doctors are working to rule out stroke or other serious nerve or circulatory issues.
Eden has medical insurance, but with high deductibles and copays. Since it is an HMO, many needed tests requested by her doctors are not covered in-network by her insurance.
Eden’s parents are doing the very best they can to obtain an accurate diagnosis for Eden and to get her healthy again, but medical bills and travel costs are building up, and Eden’s parents are running out of funds.
This GoFundMe is to pay for Eden’s medical costs until she is healthy again.
Her parents hope for a miracle that she'll wake up and be better, but also pray for inspiration, guidance, and health for their sweet girl.
