Everybody knows Eddy. He is a local pillar in our community, full of love, light, and most importantly, laughter. He gives the shirt off his back to everyone in need, but the tables have turned this time; Eddy is the one in need.

He gives to charity on a daily basis but never asks for any in return. As a self-employed hairstylist, there is no such thing as paid time off for medical leave.

Last week, Eddy was celebrating his 60th birthday. Just outside of a local restaurant, after dinner while waiting for his Uber, he was attacked with unprovoked physical violence and slurs against his sexual preference. As a result of this, his arm is broken in two places as well as his wrist, and he is undergoing surgery today. This is the worst nightmare for any hairstylist.

We want to help make sure his recovery is as stress-free and painless as possible, as this was such an unkind, cruel act for him to experience in a neighborhood where he is well known and well-loved.

We are raising money to help Eddy pay his salon rent, household bills, and help with medical expenses as he could be out of work for a minimum of 3 months.

We simply ask if you have met Eddy, shared a smile with him, or a belly laugh, to donate any amount you feel you could generously spare.
