Eddy was recently involved in a serious and unexpected accident—and by the grace of God, it did not turn tragic.
On a Sunday afternoon, Eddy was driving his mobile ghost kitchen (food truck) northbound on Route 2 in Severna Park, Maryland. Earlier that day, there had been another accident, and a construction barrier was left in the roadway without being properly moved back into place.
As Eddy approached, he noticed something in the road and attempted to safely change lanes. Unfortunately, another vehicle blocked his path, leaving him with no safe option but to hit the barrier.
What he thought would be a minor impact turned into something much worse—the truck became entangled and violently flipped onto the driver’s side.
Thanks to his seatbelt and traveling at a low speed, Eddy’s life was spared. He had to be extracted from the vehicle and was rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries—while painful—were not life-threatening. He suffered a shoulder injury along with cuts and bruises.
Even now, Eddy’s biggest concern is that no one else was hurt.
This was Eddy’s mobile kitchen, his business, and his livelihood.
For over 12 years, Eddy has been serving the community through his catering business—feeding families, supporting local events, and volunteering his time to help others.
This truck was the heart of everything he built.
Unfortunately, Eddy only carried liability insurance, never expecting something like this to happen. Because of the circumstances, the damages are not being covered.
He is now facing a complete loss of:
His catering truck
His kitchen equipment
His ability to operate his business
At the same time, he’s managing medical recovery and doing everything he can to keep his business relationships intact.
Our Goal: $25,000
We are asking friends, family, and the community to come together to help Eddy rebuild.
This goal will help cover:
Replacement Used Truck: ~$15,000
Equipment: ~$8,000
Permits, Insurance, Towing, Medical Co-Pays: ~$2,000+
While the full cost is higher, this will give Eddy a strong start toward getting back on his feet.
