Support Eddie's Long Road to Recovery

Hello, my name is Jaime Plancon, and this is Eddie's story.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Eddie and his friend were out riding bikes in his hometown of Hobe Sound, FL. While on this ride, Eddie was struck by a truck. He was airlifted to the hospital and rushed into emergency surgery where they performed a craniectomy. He suffered a fractured skull from the accident. Currently, he is in the ICU in a medically induced coma in order to allow his brain and body to heal.

His road to recovery will be a lengthy and expensive one. His Father, Edward, is self-employed, with his company located in Guilford, CT. His mother is a school teacher assistant who was due to return to work in a week. With little income coming in and a enormous amount of medical bills building, the hardship this family will suffer is tremendous.

I am starting this GoFundMe on their behalf in order to reduce the financial burden this accident has caused, as they need to spend their energy focusing on their son and his healing process. From Guilford, CT (where Eddie spent his elementary years), to Hobe Sound, FL, this family has always been well-respected and loved members of their communities.
