Support Eddie's Journey to Lay His Mother to Rest

Hey friends, family, and kind strangers.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. We found out Monday, 6/16, that my mother, Maria Corella Cabana, was found passed away in her apartment. I really need your help with getting to New Jersey (from Texas) and with handling her final arrangements and say goodbye one last time. My aunt, Barbara Corella, is also trying to get up there from Florida so we can do this together.

This loss was unexpected and has hit hard emotionally. We hadn't heard from her, couldn't get a hold of her, and finally ended up getting a call yesterday from the police. She leaves behind me (her son), Desi (her grandson), her loving sister Barbara, her active military nephew Anthony, and Anthony's 3 children who loved her dearly.

I'm doing everything I can, but the cost of travel, cremation, and related expenses is more than I can manage alone right now. I'm having to drive up there to save on $. We got hit with massive unexpected expenses this year, 25% increase in mortgage, 20% increase in Desi's schooling, and the list goes on. We're tapped and exhausted. So we're trying, but barely making it.
