Support Eddie's Fight Against Illness

My name is Eddie, I’m 29 years old, and I’ve just been admitted to the hospital — I’m asking for help because I don’t know what else to do.

I’ve been sick for the past two years, but in the last few months my health has gotten much worse. The past two weeks have been severe — constant, crushing abdominal pain, nausea, weakness, dizziness, and not being able to eat without getting sick. Doctors diagnosed me with acute pancreatitis along with other serious health complications. I’m so weak that even simple tasks feel impossible.

I work at Amazon as a transportation associate, but my illnesses have left me unable to work. I’ve fallen behind on bills so badly that my electricity is about to be shut off, and other essential bills are piling up. The stress is overwhelming — not just for me, but for my children and family who are watching me struggle.

I have three kids who are my whole world: Eva (11), Eddie (10), and Barry (5). Eva and Barry both have autism, and they need stability, care, and my presence more than ever. I don’t have parents or close family to help me through this, so I’m relying on the kindness of others to help us through this crisis.
