Hi, my name is Eddie, and I’m 39 years old. This September marks 20 years with my high school sweetheart, and together we’re raising our three beautiful daughters. I’ve spent most of my life working hard in cabinetry to provide for my family — and anyone who knows me knows how much I take pride in being a dependable father, husband, and friend.

Unfortunately, I now face a battle I never expected. After months of unexplained health issues and countless ER visits, I received a devastating diagnosis: Adenocarcinoma, a large, aggressive malignant tumor located at my esophageal junction.

I’ve been out of work for several weeks while undergoing multiple blood and iron transfusions every week in an effort to strengthen my body for radiation therapy and potential surgery. This process has not only taken a toll on me physically and emotionally, but it’s placed an enormous strain on our family financially.

With only one income coming in, and medical bills mounting quickly, we’re reaching out for help. It’s not easy for me to ask — I’ve always been the one to lend a hand — but now, we’re the ones in need.
