Hey everyone! My name is Eddie. This is honestly a little humbling for me because I’m not someone who usually reaches out for help, especially so publicly.
As some of you know, my car was recently stolen. Thankfully I was able to recover it, but there was interior damage that now needs to be repaired. Right before that happened, I was also dealing with a bacterial infection that landed me in the hospital for a few days. Because everything happened so close together, I ended up missing a couple weeks of work.
Earlier this year, my rent also increased by $452 in February. I then had to take about three weeks off in March due to mental health challenges, and shortly after that I was hospitalized and then dealing with my car being stolen. Because of everything happening back-to-back, I’ve fallen behind on April’s rent and am now trying to catch up on both April and the upcoming payment due in May.
I completely understand that times are tough right now and many people are dealing with their own financial stress. I’m already incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received from people around me without even having to ask.
If you’re able to help in any way—even just sharing this or pointing me toward housing resources that might help—it truly means a lot to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting me during this time.
