Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,
I am fundraising on behalf of my dad, Eddie Lucien.
Early on Monday, May 27th, Eddie suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke caused by a malformation in the veins on his brain stem. He was rushed to the hospital and immediately given a CT scan to confirm the diagnosis. He was then transferred to a Swedish Hospital. On Tuesday, May 28th surgeons attempted a non-invasive surgery to close and mend
the veins, but it was unsuccessful. On Thursday, May 30th he underwent a craniotomy to mend the veins and relieve swelling, which was thankfully successful.
The stroke was on the left side of his brain stem, resulting in paralysis on the right side of his body. He has no feeling in his right arm or right leg and minimal sensation on the right side of his face. Although stable since the craniotomy, Eddie has been recommended the most intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy available to regain his abilities.
The outpouring of love and support our family has received has been heartwarming. However, my parents now face significant medical bills and the cost of ongoing treatment. Eddie's road to recovery will be long, and we need your help to ensure he gets the best care.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Your support will go directly towards:
*Medical bills for his emergency care and surgeries
*Intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies
*Necessary medical equipment and home modifications
In addition to keeping my dad and our family in your thoughts and prayers, we humbly ask for your financial support during this difficult time. Thank you for your kindness and support.
