Support Eddie Fields' Stroke Recovery Journey

Hello, dear friends and world family. My name is Deva Blanchard. I'm reaching out to community far and wide to ask for your help for my amazing friend and bandmate of the last 23 years, Eddie Fields.

Eddie had a massive stroke as our band Captive Eddie’s was on stage at the end of June, 2024. The stroke damaged his brain which, in turn, had a profound effect on many basic neurological and bodily functions, he has been in multiple hospitals, nursing facilities, and is now in a state of the art stroke rehabilitation facility in Jacksonville, FL.

Recently he has shown an incredible amount of improvement. Brains do heal, but very slowly. He is speaking few words, but more and more every day, and he understands a lot and is able to engage in many non-verbal ways including playing music.

Eddie is now in need of specialized care and therapy to give him the best chance at a meaningful recovery. Unfortunately, his insurance will not cover this or the continued care he needs.

For anyone who has ever met Eddie or been in his presence, you know that this is an opportunity to help lift up a one-of-a-kind human who has brought joy and beautiful sounds to every place he has touched in this world.

Which brings us to the point of this go-fund-me.

Eddie has used up all of his insurance benefits for this health crisis and the only way he can stay in his current location is to pay for it out of pocket.

The base cost is $2000 a day, so, we are looking at $60,000 a month just to be at the facility, not including all the other therapies and support that we have been paying for out-of-pocket, your support will go to all aspects of what it takes to care for Eddie ❤️‍
