We are sharing our private family trauma of E’Daya being diagnosed with HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) because we need help from our community. Every donation counts, no matter the amount. E’Daya’s mother, who has always worked hard to provide for her 5 children, has had to take a leave of absence to remain by E'Daya's bedside for over 70 days. This has placed an enormous financial strain on the family, who are now facing mounting medical bills, will require 24-hour nursing care for the foreseeable future, in addition to adaptive equipment and accessible transportation to get E'Daya to her many appointments.

E'Daya is a bright and loving child, with several siblings and a twin, living in a single-parent household. On February 7, 2026, she suffered a severe asthma attack that led to two cardiac arrests and at least ten minutes without oxygen to her brain. After being unconscious for six weeks, E'Daya now faces severe, permanent brain damage.
