My name is Nina and my husband's name is Ed. We are a music family and we run a highly rated guitar repair shop as a husband and wife duo in Houston, TX. We have 5 amazing children between the two of us. Two are grown and on their own, but we also have 12-year-old twin boys and a 2-year-old daughter. Up until early this year, our lives were amazing, but in April, Ed was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. This alone would have been difficult but manageable, but just last week, I was informed that I have an 8cm lump and 3 other 4cm ones in my breast and a 3cm brain tumor. We are not fully sure what the future holds as far as my diagnosis, but the doctors are very concerned with the breast lump because of its large size. We will both have to take much time away from the guitar shop, which means less money for our children. They are very active in school clubs and events. We own a home and cars, and these expenses along with the doctors' are incredible, to make matters worse our mortgage holder keeps trying to take our house back (owner financed). UPDATE: NINA WENT TO THE DR TODAY AND THE LARGER LUMP IN THE BREAST HAS GROWN OVER A CM IN LESS THAN A WEEK.

We have never asked for help; in fact, my husband was always with the bands playing fundraisers for people. Anything will help. We are so thankful for you reading .

Update Ed had survey and his cancer was removed…today I (Nina) found out that I have to have brain surgery in the near future and have the numerous lumps removed from my breast.

another update. I was just released from the hospital after brain surgery to remove a large tumor. I have 6 weeks of healing ahead of me and then have to return to Ben Taub hospital to have the tumors in my breast removed. This has been the hardest year in our lives. Any help would be appreciated.
