The Ed Modoono Burial Fund
Bedford Ma
As most of you already know, a true Bedford legend has succumbed to the injuries sustained in a tragic traffic accident while riding his iconic electric bicycle. Ed Modoono, who went by so many different monikers (Eddie Mudd, Modoono, Electric bike guy, etc), passed away after a courageous battle at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. The crash occurred on June 29th on Chelmsford Rd. Ed fought hard but his injuries were too severe. He was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2025.
On behalf of his close friends, we are creating this fundraiser to help support his family with funeral expenses. After we reach our goal, the fundraising will conclude. ALL of the money raised will be used to cover burial expenses.
The outpouring of support and the multiple suggestions to do a fundraiser were the driving force behind this charitable endeavor.
Ed was a fun-loving soul who loved life and the friendships he formed over his 60 plus years as a cherished Bedford resident. From his many close friends (Mike S., Kerry D. Sean H., Matt B. from the early “Cemetery crew” and the rest of Eds reservoir hockey teams, etc.), to the old neighborhood crews, he was always a familiar face that we all enjoyed sharing his company with.
Eds Mom and Dad pre-deceased him and left him heartbroken. Ed was a proud pet owner of his dog ‘Danny’ who he got to share with his mom before she passed.
Please help if you can. Eddie was an amazing soul who always could put a smile on your face. His memory will forever be strong to all who knew him. Thank you for helping us put him to rest next to his beloved parents.
