Support Ed in Honoring Amelia's Memory

Hi, my name is Ed. Tuesday morning, July 16th (my birthday), I went to my mom’s (Amelia) apartment to check on her before going to my first job. As soon as I came to the door, something seemed strange. As I entered and called out to her, there was no response. I looked at her bed, and realized she was gone. My mom, who always put God first; my mom who sacrificed so much to raise me; my mom who was always empathetic and understanding; my mom who was a mother to my friends and a sister to all of her friends; my mom who is my heart. Gone!

She’d been diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer two months ago. I’m her only child and I’ve hardly had time to mentally prepare for losing her, let alone set aside money for her funeral. This is a very difficult time for me and my family!

That’s why I need your help. My mom previously paid for her plot and burial but not her service. I need to pay the funeral home $7,500.00 for her service and there will be expenses associated with her burial.
