Hello everyone,
My name is Diana Greenstein. I am making this Go Fund Me on behalf of my husband, Ed Greenstein.
Ed is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1985, pastoring churches and always serving others. He is a Marine who would adapt and overcome every obstacle that would come his way. Last September our lives changed.
In September 2024, a large mass appeared suddenly on the outside of Ed’s right lower leg. Concerned, he saw his PCP. The MRI results showed a neoplasm that is normally benign in nature. However, due to the size and discomfort Ed elected to have it removed to be on the “safe side.” After the surgical removal, his womb would not heal! After two follow up doctors discovered the reason it was not healing in December 2024. The neoplasm was not “safe nor benign,” it was cancer. It was a high-grade rare form of sarcoma cancer called Myxofibrosarcoma. The general surgeon immediately contacted MD Anderson. We were shocked, stunned and not expecting these results.
January 2025, Ed started the new year with heavy treatments and prayers. The treatments consisted of radiation. Due to our home location to the treatment facilities, transportation alone was exhausting and a challenge. Ed’s body did not fail him. In April 2025 pathologists stated the cancer was gone! He would have a slow recovery and rehabilitation to fully heal. We thought Ed was “safe” again.
In June 2025, discomfort resulted in a CT scan during one of his post-surgical follow ups. MD Anderson doctors discovered masses and nodes. Masses in his groin and abdomen and nodes in his lungs. Immediate surgical biopsies scheduled to determine what these masses and nodes are and to implement the right plan of action.
I am reaching out today with a humble heart to ask for support for Ed during this challenging time in his life. Ed has always been the type of person to manage things on his own regardless of the obstacle, but cancer is expensive. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are more than we can manage alone. The expenses keep piling on from the 2-hour trips (one way) to and from MD Anderson, parking, clinical appointments, treatments, MRIs, CTs, labs, two surgeries and general care. We are on a modest fixed income.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, we ask that you pray for Ed’s healing.
Thank you with all our hearts for standing with Ed during this challenging time.
With love and gratitude,
The Ed Greenstein Family
