Whether Ebony Blake has been in your life for a few moments or a few decades, you know she is in a class all her own. Fiercely generous with her radiant spirit and infectious humor. Relentlessly joyful. Shimmeringly talented. Her kindness knows no bounds — and if you've ever been lucky enough to witness her sing karaoke, I know you've been forever changed.
Last year, Ebony underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy to treat cancer — all while rehearsing to play Hermione in The First National Tour of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" — with bravery, grace, and grit.
She'd hoped that chapter was closed, but unfortunately, adenoid cystic carcinoma had other plans.
This week, Ebony is undergoing complex surgery at Mt. Sinai in NYC as the next step of this process. Her team is the best of the best and her spirits are high — but our love and support are needed now.
The recovery process will likely be long and may involve additional radiation or surgery, so Ebony has had to step away from the show for the time being. Your contributions will help with medical bills and living expenses, and most importantly, give Ebony and James peace of mind so she can rest and heal.
Let's shower this incredible soul with the love and support she so deeply deserves. Thank you for your generosity!
