I’m Tired. I'm Hurt. I GIVE UP!

For the last two years, I’ve poured everything I have into building a space where our kids can thrive — not just survive. I’ve invested over half a million dollars of my own money into Ebony J Media, a safe, empowering media center for youth. I handled staff, operation’s, equipment & more. No GRANTS, no LOANS.

Tank Ronald & I saw a need and created a place where kids who feel lost in the streets come alive — creating, learning, dreaming again.

We did it because we know what media can do. We’ve lived it. I am it. ️

But today? My heart is heavy.

I lost MY DREAM Job, friends, mentors… and I feel like I’m currently losing myself. Dont know what ima lose next

Hamilton County just cut funding for our summer students.

Ten kids now have to be told “no,” when all they wanted was a “yes” to a better future.

Meanwhile, other orgs with no building, no equipment, no kids are getting support!!!

The City of Cincinnati wont support us because we’re not in city limits, even tho we serve kids in the city! Norwood is the safest community for the students we serve, yet they haven’t supported us neither.

I’m not asking for pity. I’m asking for PARTERNSHIP.

— Ebony J created the Ebony J Media Learning Center to be a safe place for youth in the underserved communities. We serve youth in Cincinnati, and reside in Norwood Cincinnati.
