Support Eaton Fire Survivors – Troop 31 Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Scout Troop 31, based in East Pasadena, and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School and Parish are committed to service and community, and today we are stepping up to support our neighbors in need.

The recent Eaton Fire has devastated our community, burning over 10,000 acres and leaving potentially thousands of neighborhood families without homes. Many survivors have lost everything—personal belongings, cherished memories, and the security of their homes.

As members of this community, we feel a deep responsibility to help the families affected by this disaster. Your contribution will provide essential resources like emergency shelter/hotel vouchers and gift cards for clothing, food, and supplies to help these families begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives.

Together, we can bring hope and healing to those who need it most. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in the lives of Eaton Fire survivors.

Please join us in supporting our neighbors during this difficult time. Donate now to make an impact.

Thank you for standing with Altadena and Pasadena and with the families who need our help.

Who are we: The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ABVM) Church is a local Catholic parish and school serving the local Pasadena and Altadena areas. Both parish and school support over 300 families in the Greater Pasadena area and will be celebrating our 75th birthday this fall.
Scout Troop 31 is a local BSA Troop based out of the ABVM parish and with roots in the NE Pasadena area. Troop 31 has graduated over 80 Eagle Scouts in it’s 70 years of history with a goal of continuous service to our community. Our fund organizers, scoutmaster Anthony Pa, a resident of NE Pasadena, a youth minister at ABVM and a former naval officer, and Eagle Scout candidate Diego Pa-Ortiz appreciate your support for our neighbors.
Where will your donation go and how will the funds be spent: The goal of this GoFundMe is to distribute your donation to “families in need” only and with distributions to our impacted school and parish families as a first priority. In order to ensure a qualified need, families who apply will be interviewed and vetted by the parish pastor, Fr. Michael Ume, prior to distribution. In addition to gas and gift cards collected through our “Disaster Relief” event, cash grants from this fund will be issued through the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, a 501c organization.

If you or someone that you know are in need of help, are displaced or lost your house: Contact our parish office at (626) [phone redacted] or visit us at 2640 E. Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena.
