Who You Are

My name is Eaint Kyawt Hmu (Angel), and while I currently reside outside Myanmar, my family and community in Mandalay and surrounding cities like Sagaing, Amarapura, and Tada U have been deeply affected by the recent earthquake. I am organizing this fundraiser to help provide relief to the people of Myanmar during this devastating time.

Where You're From

I am originally from Mandalay, Myanmar, one of the hardest-hit areas by the earthquake. The disaster has impacted not only my family but also thousands of others across central Myanmar, where homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure have been destroyed.

Your Relationship to the Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of this fundraiser include my family and the broader community in Mandalay and nearby cities like Sagaing, Amarapura, and Tada U. These areas are struggling to recover from the catastrophic earthquake that has displaced thousands and left many in urgent need of basic necessities.

How Funds Will Be Spent

All donations will be directed through One Myanmar Community (Myanmar Community and Cultural Center), a nonprofit organization based in Union City, CA (EIN: 45-4506367). The funds will be used for:

Emergency Relief: Providing food, clean water, medicine, clothing, and temporary shelter for displaced families.
Rescue Operations: Supporting teams working tirelessly to save lives in inaccessible areas.
Rebuilding Efforts: Helping restore homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure so families can rebuild their lives with dignity.
Long-Term Recovery: Providing sustainable resources for communities to recover fully from this disaster.

Why We Need Your Help

On March 28, 2025, a catastrophic 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar. The death toll has surpassed 2,800, with thousands injured and hundreds still missing. Families are now living in makeshift shelters under extreme conditions with limited access to food, clean water, medical care, and electricity.

This disaster has compounded an already dire humanitarian crisis in Myanmar caused by years of civil conflict. Relief efforts face additional challenges due to damaged infrastructure and ongoing instability.
