Support Earthquake Relief for Myanmar
On 28 March 2025, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, claiming over 4,000 lives and leaving thousands injured. Entire towns, homes, businesses, and cultural landmarks have been destroyed. But beyond the initial tragedy, the crisis is far from over.
Myanmar was already facing hardship under military rule, and now the earthquake has pushed millions to the brink. Food is scarce, electricity has been cut off in many areas, and basic supplies are running out. Families are struggling to survive without access to clean water, shelter, or even the ability to contact their loved ones.
This fundraiser has been set up by our family. My wife, Anida, is from Myanmar, and our son, Leo, has strong family roots there. While our immediate family is thankfully safe, many people we know — friends, extended family, neighbours — have lost everything. Many young children in Myanmar have also lost their families in this disaster and now face an uncertain, frightening future.
Our aim is to provide direct aid, food, and essential supplies to people on the ground who need it most.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards helping families and children who have been devastated by this tragedy, to survive and start rebuilding their lives.
This appeal is deeply personal to us, and we are incredibly grateful for any kindness or support you can offer. It would mean a great deal to our family — and especially to Leo — to know that people here are aware of what has happened in his mam’s home country and are willing to help.
