Introduction:

Hello, my name is Sunil Pandey, a graduate student from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA and currently residing in Utah. I am originally from the Gorkha district in Nepal. I am reaching out to seek your support for the earthquake victims in Jajarkot, Nepal, which has recently been devastated by a series of destructive earthquakes.

Background:

On Friday, November 03, 2023, Jajarkot was hit by a powerful earthquake, resulting in over 150 fatalities and more than 400 injuries. This tragedy is a stark reminder of the 2015 earthquake that deeply affected our nation. Having personally assisted many victims back in 2015, I understand the critical importance of immediate and effective support in such dire times.

Mission:

I have initiated this fundraising campaign to provide urgent aid to the earthquake victims. Alongside my friends, Gaurab Thapa and Swikriti Shrestha, who are currently on the ground in the remote villages of Nepal, we are collaborating with the local Jajarkot government to provide necessary health assistance and distribute essential goods and materials for everyday life.

-Purchase and distribute basic necessities like food, water, and clothing.
