Hello, you may or may not know me, but my name is Eartha Lee, and I have been living with a severe permanent legal disability since 2004, with my primary source of income being Social Security Disability since that time. I work very hard to live an independent lifestyle as much as possible, only asking for financial assistance from others when I truly feel I cannot make ends meet on my own.

You may have helped me when I created my first GoFundMe account ever a little over a year ago after a very difficult financial year during which I suffered two vehicle accidents both involving crashes into moose, one in January of 2024 and one in November of 2024. The first time my truck was totaled, and while my replacement truck was repairable after the second crash, several thousands of dollars of damage ensued. I have thankfully recovered in great part from these incidents, but there are issues that still linger. My monthly vehicle insurance has unfortunately skyrocketed for a period of time which is very stressful on a fixed income. Furthermore, an opportunity opened up for me to move into a house in a different town in June of 2025, and my utilities have doubled since then. I am working hard to accommodate my budget to such costs. I am selling my handcrafted jewelry and copies of a book I wrote titled "Fleeing the Country" (a memoir about my childhood growing up without running water or electricity in the bush of Alaska). However, for now, I would be so very grateful for any extra financial assistance. Such donations would prove to be super helpful to bridge financial gaps that I see existing between now and October of this year, when the annual Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend will be issued once again, and I hope to financially be back on my feet once and for all after my accidents and my subsequent move.
