Earl was diagnosed with kidney disease two years ago and has been receiving dialysis every night through a catheter in his abdomen. His fiancée, Jacki, has made the incredible decision to donate one of her kidneys to help him. When I asked her why, she simply said, "It's because Leo deserves to have more time with his dad." During their surgery, Jacki will go into the operating room first so doctors can remove one of her kidneys. After these procedures, both will be hospitalized for several days before beginning their recovery journey at home.
