Support Earl Bennett's Fight Against Cancer

Dear family and friends,

We are reaching out to share that our brother in law, Earl Bennett, husband of Jill's sister, Kim, has been battling prostate cancer for 7 years. If your were not aware of this, his journey with prostate cancer started with surgery initially and then intermittent treatment and monitoring through these last years. He knew from the beginning that this was an aggressive cancer but it had been manageable to keep his PSA numbers down until recently. Unfortunately, Earl has found palpable masses in his body and after extensive testing found out that he is now battling for his life. It is now stage 4.

Kim and Earl now live in Texas to be close to Kim's daughter and her family. This has been a blessing as Earl has been offered some hope with a new clinical trial study of immunotherapy at MD Anderson. He started his outpatient treatment a couple of weeks ago which requires a 3 hour drive from their home to Houston and overnight stays in a hotel for the subsequent testing that needs to be done the day following treatment for this clinical trial. It is in the final stages before FDA approval.

As you can imagine, the emotional and physical toll has been overwhelming, and the financial burden of neither one of them being able to work at present time, and the continuing need for gas for the 3 hour drive and hotel stays, food, and just normal everyday expenses and medical expenses are mounting up.

We are asking for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time for them. Every donation, no matter how small, will help alleviate some of the financial strain and allow Earl and Kim to focus on healing and recovery, without the constant worry of mounting bills.
