Support Dylan's Recovery after Severe Accident
Donation protected
Important update:
THANK YOU all so much. Jess and Dylan are amazed by how many people have been so generous. And now an amazing opportunity has come up: An anonymous doner has offered to match up to $5,000! You know how expensive monthly expenses are these days, so this is a critical opportunity that will really help the Coles as they struggle to get by for multiple months with Dylan out of work. If you have already given and could give $20 more, or if you could skip coffee out a couple times and send $10, now is the opportune time. Thank you so much for considering!

Hi, I'm Keisha, and I'm a years-long friend of Jess Cole (formerly Rowberg) and her family! A few days ago I received some alarming texts about Dylan, her husband.
I learned that he was in a nasty motorcycle crash that resulted in some serious damage to his face when he hit a tree, but thankfully he's alive.
He recently had one surgery for reconstruction of his eye (which had apparently burst!) and socket, and when the swelling goes down he will need another to repair fractures in his cheek bones and nasal area. He will be in the hospital for at least two weeks, but at the moment, there's no certain timeline for going home.
These are the most life-altering injuries, but he also has dislocated and fractured toes, and needs another surgery for those. It will take six to eight weeks or longer to walk normally again. He will never gain his vision back in the injured eye but MAY be able to see shadows and light. And while we are, of course, thankful he still has the other eye, it takes the brain about three months to learn how to see with one eye.
The money raised here will all go to paying regular bills (mortgage, electricity, and groceries) during the time Dylan will be out of work. He does not have short-term disability from his company, so when his five days of PTO runs out very soon, he's out of pay. Your contributions, large and small, are greatly appreciated.
If you're struggling to stomach the fee here you can hit up the Coles on Venmo: @jcolefam8 (last 4 of Jess' number is 8989).
