Dylan was enjoying a day in the mountains with a friend when an unexpected accident changed everything. Thrown from a mule, Dylan suffered a severe axonal brain injury. Medics hiked in to reach him, and he was airlifted to Penrose, where he spent five days in the hospital receiving critical care. The journey since then has been incredibly challenging for Dylan and his loved ones.

Now in Tennessee with his wife Jessica and their eight children, Dylan is working hard every day to recover. He is undergoing intensive physical therapy, learning to walk and talk again, and facing a long road ahead. Doctors estimate that his recovery could take anywhere from six months to a year, and the emotional and financial toll on his family is significant.
