Dylan’s story:
3 months ago Dylan was hospitalized for Transverse Meylitis. He is currently temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. He is also presenting signs of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Transverse myelitis (TM) is a rare neurological disorder that involves inflammation of one section of the spinal cord, damaging the myelin sheath that insulates nerve cells. This disrupts the messages sent by the spinal cord, causing symptoms like pain, weakness, paralysis, and bladder or bowel issues.
It is believed that it was an autoimmune response to the pneumonia he had and his immune system attacked itself.
Dylan is a true warrior. He kicked butt in the rehab and was discharged sooner than they expected.
He did whatever was asked of him, worked hard, and has an amazing mindset. He tells the Doctors at every visit that he doesnt care what the odds are of recovery. His mindset is he will recover and walk again.
We want to give Dylan the best shot at recovery and unfortunately medical expenses add up and some of his treatments are not covered by insurance.
Thank you to everyone for your constant prayers and love. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support means Dylan can focus on healing.
