Hi everyone, my name is Dylan Hagin, and I’m from Largo, FL.

I’m creating this GoFundMe because I’m chasing a dream I’ve had since the very first day I picked up sticks.

I started drumming my freshman year of high school, and from that moment on, the marching arts became a huge part of my life. I’ve poured countless hours into practicing, performing, and growing, not only as a musician, but as a person. Along the way, I’ve made friends and connections who have become family, many of whom I know will be lifelong.

Ever since I discovered the activity, one goal has stayed constant:

I’ve always dreamed of marching Stryke Percussion. This organization has always enthralled me by ways of their membership, show design, and influence on the Florida drumming scene.

This season, I have the opportunity to make that dream come true again, but there’s one more reason this year is especially meaningful:

It’s my age-out year.

After this season, I will no longer be eligible to perform in WGI. This is truly my last chance to experience the activity I love from the performer’s perspective.

Marching this season isn’t just about one final performance. It’s about using everything I’ve learned to become a better educator so I can continue giving back to the activity—teaching, inspiring, and supporting the next generation of young performers.

Unfortunately, the costs of tuition, travel, and rehearsals add up quickly. That’s why I’m asking for help, anything you’re able to contribute brings me one step closer to fulfilling this dream and closing out my marching career the right way.
