My name is Kara Wagner and I am raising funds for my husband, Dylan Wagner. What started as a much-anticipated cruise vacation quickly turned into a life-altering emergency for us. Just one day into our trip, Dylan began experiencing severe abdominal pain. Our initial concerns were met with a sudden urgency when the ship’s medical team suspected appendicitis and advised immediate air evacuation. We stayed 3 days in the cruise ship infirmary before being evacuated from our first port Aruba to a Fort Lauderdale Hospital. Living in Texas, this was not ideal but necessary. Now facing the unknown of when this surgery will happen and not being our own home state has been a very stressful and frightening time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and allow us to focus on Dylan’s health and recovery.
