Im sharing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends with there full knowledge and permission to help raise funds during a devastating time
On 22nd September 2025, our lives changed forever.
My 17 year old son was involved in a hit and run and was not knocked off a motorbike and left at the roadside by the driver, who did not stop.
As a result of this horrific accident, he has been left with life-changing injuries.
He is now paralysed in his right arm.
All the nerves were torn from his spinal cord, causing constant, severe pain that he lives with 24 hours a day. Despite everything, he continues to show incredible strength and courage.
Next week, he will be in London for a major and complex operation that offers hope for his future.
We don’t yet know how long he will need to remain in hospital.
What we do know is that this is only the beginning of a very long and difficult road to recovery.
We live in the North, and the cost of travelling back and forth to London, accommodation near the hospital, food, and time off work is already overwhelming.
After the surgery, we will need to return again around six weeks later for an extended stay while he begins intensive rehabilitation, which is crucial for his recovery.
We are asking for help to cover:
Travel costs to and from London
Accommodation near the hospital
Living expenses during long hospital stays
Ongoing rehabilitation and recovery support
He has already endured a long and difficult hospital stay since the accident, as a result of the severity of his injuries, his first hospital stay required him to be placed in an induced coma, highlighting how critical his condition was.
The physical pain and emotional toll continue every single day.
Watching your child suffer like this is something no parent is ever prepared for.
The specialists in London are our only hope.
His injuries are extremely rare and complex, travelling to these specialists is not a choice for us — it is essential for his future.
Every donation helps us stay close to him during his hospital stays and gives him the best chance possible at recovery.
It will make a huge difference and help ease the financial pressure so we can focus on supporting my son through this incredibly challenging time.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and generosity
All funds raised will go towards Dylan and his family for medical travel , accommodations and recovery costs
