Support Dylan Stout's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
I'm starting this fundraiser for my son, Dylan Stout, who suffered a stroke on Thursday, June 27, 2024. As of today, he is no longer in critical condition and is making excellent progress toward what we hope will be a full recovery. This is medical incident number 3 this year which has significantly impacted his ability to work, retain insurance and cover the basic necessities such as food, shelter and medicine. As many of you know, Dylan is also a Type 1 Diabetic and has been for the past 25 years which makes his situation even more challenging.

Due to medical incident number 2, Dylan was in the hospital for 3 weeks and lost his job (that he had just started after medical incident number 1). After that incident, he was unable to work for several weeks. He just started his new, new job on Monday, June 24 and 4 days later, had the stroke. It will be many weeks before he is able to return to work. The left side of his face is still paralyzed. He can move his left leg, arm and hand, but does not have any dexterity or fine motor skills. He cannot stand or walk unassisted and will need help on a daily basis just to do everyday tasks. He faces several weeks of daily, intensive physical therapy and then a more normal PT routine for as long as it takes.

My hope for this fundraiser is to help ease the financial worry and stress that has plagued him and Jess for the past few months. All contributions will go toward paying for shelter, food, and health care until he is able to return to work and potentially his medical bills incurred over the past few months.

If you could include them in your prayers, that would be amazing in and of itself.
