In Loda, Illinois, during the early morning hours on Wednesday, January 19th, a young man sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He is now fighting for his life at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
I am Brooke Diederich, and this young man is my nephew, Dylan Atkins, 19, of Loda.
He recently lost his medical insurance coverage, and is currently uninsured. As you would expect, the cost of surgery and life support is not cheap.
He and his family are in need of any assistance you can provide to help cover these costs during this difficult time.
