Help Dyce Di Chef Caterings Rebuild Trelawny Jamaica & feed as much people as possible after the Hurricane Disaster

Hi everyone,

My name is Okarie Edwards, and I’m reaching out on behalf of Dyce Di Chef Caterings, a proud local business based in Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica. Our community has just been devastated by one of the most destructive hurricanes we’ve ever faced. In just a few short hours, everything changed. Homes were torn apart, roads washed away, and the heart of our small town was left barely recognizable.

Dyce Di Chef Caterings has always been more than just a catering business, we’ve been a part of this community’s heartbeat. We’ve cooked for weddings, school events, Celebrities , and countless family gatherings. Food has always been our way of bringing people together, spreading love, and celebrating life.

The hurricane didn’t just take away many people livelihood it struck at the very core of our community. Many of our friends, neighbors, and loyal customers have lost their homes and belongings, some losing their life. The roads are blocked, electricity is down in several areas, and clean water is becoming harder to find.

We’re launching this GoFundMe campaign to help the wider TRELAWNY community get back on their feet. Every dollar donated will go directly towards:

• Emergency relief kits (e.g., rice, canned goods, biscuits, and bottled water)

• Emergency food relief (preparing and distributing hot meals to families in need.)

• Packaging and logistics costs, including eco-bags, sacks, transportation of bottled water, and fuel for delivery vehicles

• Local coordination efforts to ensure aid reaches the right households swiftly and transparently

• Targeted support to help affected families restore essential living conditions in their homes

• Rebuilding and providing basic home supplies.
