Hi!

My name is Dyani Douze. I'm a self-taught musician and film composer who studied documentary film in undergrad. I've pushed myself in many ways as a musician in the world, which has opened up many opportunities for residencies, collaboration and performances but I've reached a point in my practice where I need more consistent support.

This is where the exciting news comes in...I've been accepted into the MFA Creative Practice program at Goldsmiths University in London!!!!

As a student of the school debt crisis generation, it would be nearly impossible for me to afford this opportunity without putting myself in more debt with more loans. I'd like to apply for grants and scholarships that open up early next year that can cover the second half of the program, but in order to start this fall and cover the first year of courses, I will need to fundraise!

This is a 2-year program costing £42,000, equating to about $57,200 US dollars.

It would be the ultimate dream to study in London, so I am asking my community of artists, professionals, family, and friends who believe in my sound work, to support me in this life-changing endeavor.

Here is a breakdown of what donations will go towards:

Health insurance coverage for 2 years: $2000

Student & Work Visa: $700

1st year of tuition: $28,600 (1st instalment due: October 20, 2nd instalment due: January 20, 3rd instalment due: April 20)

Flight to London: $500

Apartment deposit and initial living expenses: $1200

TOTAL: $33,000
