On December 17th, my dad (Dwight) was diagnosed with covid. While not feeling the best; his cough was the most persistent.

A week or so later he still didn’t feel much better and his cough was much worse. On December 23rd, he was taken via ambulance to the hospital in Bartlesville. Ontop of having covid he had now developed pneumonia.

From there he was intubated willingly due to his lungs being in such bad shape and to hopefully give his lungs a chance to recover. He was transferred to Tulsa to a bigger hospital and stayed there for a few days with little to no improvement.

December 28th, he was transferred again to a different hospital in Tulsa. He is currently on emergency dialysis for kidney failure and ECMO to hopefully give his lungs more time to heal and recover. Along with countless other meds to hopefully give him time to heal.

We have no idea how long he will be in the hospital or the outcome of this which is beyond scary.

With that being said, he is 2 hours away from me (D’nae) and an hour drive from Beth (his girlfriend). All of this money will be split between us and help with gas and anything else needed to make the trips.
