Support DW Colleagues Displaced by LA Wildfire

On January 7th, a deadly combination of strong, hot wind and dry weather caused a wildfire the like of which LA has never see before. The main affected areas are the Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and Pasadena.

Some of our DW colleagues who live in the affected areas had to evacuate in the middle of the day with not much of a pre-warning. Some needed to leave so quickly to escape the spread of the wildfire, that they didn't have the opportunity to grab anything from their homes, other than themselves and their family members.

And while we are extremely relieved to know that our colleagues and their families are safe, there is still a lot of uncertainty around of the status of their homes. Even if they were not destroyed by the fire (fingers crossed), they might not be inhabitable for several months, due to the toxins in the air and the use of fire retardant to control the fires. So, a speedy return to those homes might not be possible for some time.

Please consider donating whatever you can to help our colleagues bridge the gap. The funds will be used to pay rent for temporary housing, and buy necessary essentials, until they can return to their homes.
