Support Duval Dogs: Help Us Grow

Duval Dogs Daycare & Boarding is a family-owned and operated, community-focused dog care facility founded on the principle that dogs are precious members of our families. The climate-controlled facility houses 40 kennels, large and small dog play areas, and outside boasts 5000 square feet of fenced, natural grass play areas. These facilities allow us to offer all-day supervised play regardless of weather conditions and our boarders to sleep safely and comfortably through the night. We believe all dogs should be treated equally as family and our simple pricing plans reflect that. We never charge for extras and homemade treats are always on hand and free of charge. We achieved this dream come true through family resources and hard work....but the work is not done. This is an opportunity for friends, distant family, strangers, people without dogs, and the rest of you to help us in this endeavor.

Duval dogs was born out of passion and need. Nikki has worked as a holistic/traditional veterinarian tech and in dog daycare/boarding and we have both successfully raised dogs since childhood. We have long dreamed of working with dogs. Especially big dogs. Boagie the Great Doggo (Great Pyrenees/Doggo Argentino) was rescued at 3 months old. He was already 30 pounds of pure love and energy and growing rapidly. With very little yard and house space, Boagies training and socialization was up to 3 hours a day of leash time walking 2 miles plus twice day. It was a lot of hard, rewarding work and we couldn't be prouder of him as he turns 2 years old. We were going to dog parks, but often had issues with unaltered dogs being aggressive. Big dog play unsupervised in any environment can turn ugly quickly and after several altercations with unfixed dogs something had to change. We decided the community could use a safe indoor/outdoor place with supervised play and affordable climate controlled kennels. A place other dogs that have been screened, altered (spayed/neutered) and vaccinated. All day supervised play so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their family member is in a safe, nurturing environment. The idea for Duval Dogs was born

"Build it, they will come". If only it was that easy, we need to get noticed first. We started with amazing logo art and the simple Duval Dogs moniker which has already evolved into Duval Dogs Daycare and Boarding. We are quickly discovering that marketing and advertising for a startup is not cheap. Google Local services charges almost $40 a lead, with no guarantee of a sale. We are also aware that there is a shortage of affordable safe kennels with outdoor play areas. We need help getting noticed.

The next few months will be critical to the success of Duval Dogs. Advertising as people are planning for the holiday travel is essential and we hope to start soon with print and internet ads, while continuing our presence at events, markets, and festivals. All donations received will be used for advertising, marketing, and day-to-day operations.
