Dustin fell off a ladder at 16ft while painting a house. He broke both wrists, lacerated kidney, liver, and spleen, bruised ribs, and three spinal fractures. He has a few months of recovery ahead of him. He didn't qualify for short term disability even though he will not be able to work for at least 6-8 weeks because he is self employed. He has a small painting business that he does mostly by himself. The jobs he had lined up had to be canceled because of the accident. Right now he needs to recover and heal. We want to help him cover his bills during this time. Painting may or may not be a job he can go back to but with two broken wrists and a healing spleen, he will need time before he can figure out work options.
