My name is Dustin, and I’m reaching out to my community during a challenging time. Recently, while at the hospital for a check-up, I witnessed a nurse being attacked. Without thinking twice, I stepped in to help and managed to push the attacker off the nurse. Unfortunately, during the struggle, I felt a loud pop in my hamstring. This injury required surgery on March 25th, and now I’m facing a 10-week recovery period where I won’t be able to work.

As someone who is currently in between jobs, this unexpected injury has made things even more difficult. The bills are starting to pile up—rent, utilities, vehicle payments, insurance, groceries, water, and my cell phone bill. I’m doing my best to stay positive and focus on healing, but the financial stress is overwhelming. I plan to return to work as soon as my doctor gives me the green light, but until then, I need some help to get by.
