We are reaching out to ask for your support and prayers for my husband, Dustin Low. Anyone who knows Dustin knows he is a tireless worker and provider, and right now, he is facing the hardest battle of his life. We are leaning heavily on our love for Jesus and trusting in His grace to help us through this overwhelming season.
The Accident & The Journey So Far

Dustin suffered a severe, traumatic facial injury while doing something completely out of love: breaking up a sudden quarrel between our family dogs. The damage was extensive, and his journey toward physical healing has been grueling.

Through God's strength, he has already fought his way through two major reconstructive surgeries:
• The 1st Surgery: A highly complex forehead flap graft, where surgeons had to utilize skin from his forehead and fold it down to begin the delicate process of recreating his nostril.
• The 2nd Surgery: An intricate cartilage harvest from his ear to build up the bridge of his nose, followed by a meticulous thinning and partial inset procedure to help it take shape.

Dustin has shown unbelievable resilience and faith, but we have hit a painful, frustrating roadblock that is holding his physical recovery hostage because of money!

The Roadblock We Face Today

His third and final reconstructive surgery could happen in about 4 weeks. This final procedure is the key to putting this nightmare behind him and allowing him to return to the life and work he loves.

However, the medical clinic will not even schedule this final operation until our outstanding surgical balance is paid in full. We just received the official billing quote, and they need $12,310.00 paid in full before the medical team will allow him to move forward.

As his wife, the hardest part of this nightmare hasn’t just been watching his body heal—it’s been watching what this does to his spirit. Dustin is a helper down to his core. He shows his love to everyone through acts of service, and being sidelined has been an incredibly heavy emotional and spiritual burden on him.

We just heard the news from the clinic today, October 13th, about the payment stipulation, and the moment I told Dustin, his entire demeanor completely changed. He is totally bummed and defeated right now. Watching my husband show so much strength, only to see his spirit broken right at the finish line because of a financial barrier, is absolutely devastating to me. I just want to take this crushing weight off his shoulders so he can look forward to his final surgery with hope.

Where Your Donations Will Go (Our $25,000 Goal)

We are currently buried under $50,000 in hospital bills from his first two surgeries, and we are facing an estimated another $35,000 in hospital fees for the next one. We have applied for hospital financial aid to help with that massive mountain, but we have not heard back yet if we are approved.

However, there is a massive catch: private surgeon fees do not fall under hospital financial aid anyway.

Even if the hospital completely forgives our hospital bills, the surgeon’s clinic operates independently and requires their balance paid upfront. Waiting on hospital paperwork will not change this. This fundraiser is strictly to cover the immediate out-of-pocket costs that financial aid won't touch, allowing us to schedule Dustin's surgery and protect our family from bankruptcy:

Funds will help cover:
  • $12,310 to pay the exact outstanding surgeon's balance so the final surgery can be scheduled
  • $6,000 to cover the direct costs of the upcoming third surgery
  • $2,690 for unexpected medical fees and to offset lost income during recovery
  • $4,000 for hospital physician bills not covered by financial aid

Our Faith & Deepest Gratitude

Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2 to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Right now, this burden is too heavy for our family to carry alone, but we know that God works beautifully through the hands, hearts, and radical generosity of His people.

We want to thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts for even taking the time to read Dustin’s story and see the battle he is fighting. To everyone who has dropped off a meal, sent a text, checked in on us, or lifted our family up in moments of quiet prayer—your kindness has been a literal lifeline to our spirits. We are eternally grateful for the love this community has already poured out onto us.

If you are in a position to donate, please know that no amount is too small. Every single dollar is a building block that brings Dustin one step closer to his final surgery, his physical healing, and his ability to provide for his family again.

If you are not able to give financially, please do not underestimate the power of your support in other ways. You can stand in the gap for us by simply hitting the "Share" button to send this link to your own circles, or by speaking Dustin’s name in your prayers. We ask that you pray over his physical healing, his mental and spiritual strength during this quiet waiting period, and the hands of the surgical team who will be performing his final operation.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus for our family during the most challenging valley of our lives. We are trusting in God's perfect timing and provision, and we look forward to sharing the victory of Dustin’s full recovery with all of you.

With all our love, faith, and deepest gratitude,
Dustin's wife - Chelsea Low
