DU Productions is an independent film studio that produces genre-bending narratives uniting arthouse and high-concept filmmaking methods for the theatrical experience. Specializing in creating original and innovative stories that champion diverse voices, our mission is to create powerful media that sparks the human communal experience in the world of entertainment and cinema. Creating fictional stories and combining them with personal narratives from artists is where we shine.

Devin Saddler is an award-winning film director, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles. His filmmaking journey began in 2019 when he was accepted into the Duke Media Foundation Boot Camp, where he was mentored by industry legend Bill Duke and received training from the New York Film Academy. He directed his first short film on the Universal Studios Backlot, an experience that further ignited his passion for storytelling. The following year, he was selected for the Formosa Group Mentorship Program, where he refined his skills in post-production and sound design—elements that continue to play a central role in his work.

In 2021, Devin founded his production company, DU Productions, through which he produced his short film The Emotion, winner of the Best Thriller Short Film award at the Culver City Film Festival, and Kickback Karma, which garnered tens of thousands of views on online platforms.

Devin is a recent graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, where he earned a B.F.A. in Creative Producing along with Dean’s List, Provost List, and Trustee’s Scholar honors. A dedicated community leader, he is also a graduate of the 100 Black Men of Los Angeles Young Black Scholars Program and the founder and former president of the Chapman Black Art Association. His advocacy for underrepresented artists earned him the 2024 Jerry Price Campus Leadership Award.

Guided by a vision to champion theatrically released films, Devin aspires to direct and produce epic-scale narratives that elevate people of color both in front of and behind the camera, while achieving critical and commercial success. Through DU Productions, he is committed to creating personal and impactful stories centered on advocacy for underrepresented communities, grounded in character-driven plots and innovative cinematic aesthetics for audiences of all backgrounds to enjoy.
