Meet Duke

This lil sweetie was found in a Chicago alley and was thankfully found by good neighbors. He was taken to the vet right away to check if he had a chip, but none were found. He seems to be around 6 years old and he is not fixed, which makes me believe he was used as a pure breeder dog, and apparently after 6 years old they become “less desirable” as a stud dog.

No owner has claimed him even though we did share his story on every social media outlet and FB group.

I took him in and plan to adopt him.

He is acclimating well and is extremely loving and kind.

He has been through a lot, poor baby, but he seems to get less stressed every day with calm routines and healthy food. He is very skinny and I believe he has been kept in a crate most of his life with limited food.

I have another Yorkie at home and they are figuring each other out, but I know it will take time for him to get used to this new calm and safe environment

I'm asking for just basic help for the following:

* Vet visit

* Rabies shot

* Neutering

* Chipping

It takes a community, right?

Appreciate any help I can get to make sure the rest of his life becomes safe, loving, and cared for.
