Support Duke Bibby's Urgent Surgery Fund

Hello, My name is Traci and I'm a local Columbia Station community member. I've known the Bibby family my whole life and have always known them for their generosity. They are always willing to help everyone around them. I'm going to share a story Brittney recently shared about her dad. As a long time family friend watching her worry about her parents these last few weeks has been heartbreaking. This family needs us. Let's all do what we do best and come together to help this family through their darkest days. If it were us Kathy would be making jello shots for the fundraiser and Duke would be driving us all home safely! Please take a look at this very kind story Brittney wrote explaining the details.
Here's a story about a life long Columbia Station man.
If you've ever had car trouble on Root Rd. I'll guarantee he offered you a hand and kept you from being stuck on the side of the road. He's that guy, the one if you're struggling, he's helping, if you need a car part or something fixed, he's got it or will find it. He probably won't sell you that cool truck he's had for a 100 years but he would give it to you if it was the only way you would be able to provide for your family. He's not out for himself, he puts everyone no matter who you are in front of his needs. He's the private type who will never let you know his struggle. I mean how could he? He's got a reputation to keep of the strongest man we know, he's like a superhero, with his side kick Grammy forever saving the day. If you knew us growing up he's probably taught you a few things like "which way the sun will rise or which direction the wind blows" To you he's Duke Bibby, to us he's our Grandpa and my dad.
He's not someone to ask for help but we aren't a town that allows our people to struggle.
The last couple months have been a medical challenge of no fault of his own. Hospital stays, doctors appointments, and now he needs a surgery ranging from $15,000 to $30,000. Between not having insurance and the fighting with financial aid his surgery has been pushed out until November.
A couple of us are organizing a benefit on November 16th at the Hosanna Church barn where the guys of Undathebus will be jamming out for your entertainment! We are working on what food etc. we will be offering but please clear your schedules for November 16th as details will be coming ASAP and help us show Duke Bibby this town is here for him like he's been here for all of us his whole life.
