Support Dru's Urgent Eye Surgery

Hi there, and thanks for reading. My name is Dan, and I am asking for help to pay for surgery for my dog, Dru. A year and a half ago, I adopted Dru and his sister, Baby Girl on their last day at a shelter that was going to euthanize them for space the next day. They had been at the city shelter for three months, and in that time not one person showed any interest. How is that possible?! Because they are the most loving dogs, and I don't know how they were not adopted. They have been a blessing to me after I lost my previous dog to Cushing's Disease. Dru is about eleven years old now, and he slept at my side from day one. Two months ago, he developed a growth under his right eyelid. It grew pretty large, and his vet said that he would have to go to a specialist for surgery. He has an appointment for August 12, but I am not sure how I am going to pay for it. Two of my friends suggested using GoFundMe, so here I am. If you can see it in your hearts to help this sweet boy, he and I would both be very grateful!
