Support Dru's Healing Through Photography

Hello, my name is Dru Welch. A few years ago, I had an unfortunate accident and had a traumatic brain injury. I've worked really hard to try and overcome many obstacles from a brain bleed and have accomplished a lot towards my healing and mental health. I've had struggles like everyone, but all in all, I try to remain positive. Recently, my passion for photography has risen within me, and I am currently taking classes again to help with what I've forgotten from my memory loss. A lot has come back to me, but through the classes, I'm learning the changes which has occurred since I was in this career many years ago.

I'm loving the classes, but have learned from my instructor that my current Nikon is really old and not up to date on current technologies, which is why I am making this page. I've got part of the funds but am in need of assistance with the remainder of the funds to get me started on a newer Nikon camera. I already have shoots lined up once I get an updated camera. Most of my jobs are for veterans and VFW's working with their special events. I want to help veterans in our community as well. They deserve so much more than they get. But on top of it all, I've been told my zeal for life and personality has changed for the positive since starting this new journey.

This page only cover the body of the camera and one lens. I will need the lens but I want to just get the basic starter, although my infatuation did tell me I would need the 2nd lens. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.
