For 20 years, Drew has been a constant source of support, kindness, and service in our community. Whether it was a helping hand, a friendly word, or his dedicated work, he has consistently been there for all of us. Now, it is our turn to be there for him.
Recently, Drew made the incredible decision to quit smoking to prioritize his health. However, shortly after, he began experiencing a persistent, scratchy throat. After seeking medical advice, we received the news we all dread: it is cancer.
Drew has already undergone surgery to remove the tumor, and he is currently at home beginning the long road to recovery. While we are all hopeful that the doctors were able to remove it all, the path forward remains steep. Drew needs to begin intensive speech therapy immediately to regain his voice and communication skills. In the coming days, he faces the anxiety of biopsies on his lymph nodes, and we are all holding onto hope and praying that these results come back cancer-free.
Because of the nature of his recovery, Drew will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. Between the loss of income and the rapidly accumulating medical bills, the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.
Drew has spent two decades serving others. Now, he needs to focus all of his energy on healing and regaining his strength—not on how he will pay for his next treatment or his monthly expenses. Our goal is to raise funds to cover medical bills and surgical costs, specialized speech therapy sessions, and daily living expenses while he is out of work.
No contribution is too small. If you aren't able to donate at this time, please consider sharing this page with your network and keeping Drew in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s show Drew the same love and support he has shown this community for the last 20 years. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your kindness.
