Drew Moline is my husband, my rock and the love of my life for over Thirty years. He has always been an extremely hard worker, great husband, father, and now grandfather. Unfortunately, a horrible eye infection has caused him to lose his vision in his right eye, and he is unable to work until he receives a cornea transplant and has time to heal. As for how long this will take, according to his doctor in Iowa City, it could take several months. He has to have drops every hour around the clock, plus oral meds to fight this infection. It is extremely painful and exhausting for him. It burns horribly and makes it hard for him to tolerate light or even open his eyes.

This has left us in a situation that is beyond our control. This is why I am asking for some help during this difficult time. The short-term disability will not be possible for a while, and that leaves us with a very diminished income and takes our savings. Even with insurance, the cost of his meds is still very expensive, and he has to make trips every week to Iowa City. For now, that means he gets special meds every time he goes because after 72 hours, the one medication has to be thrown away and replaced.

Drew has a lot of pride and has a hard time asking for help. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. I know this is a difficult time for so many. If you are unable to give, please say prayers and send good thoughts our way. He could use them. His family loves him so very much, and he is feeling very defeated.
