Support Dream’s Journey to Recovery

While celebrating her birthday, our beloved Dream experienced an unforeseen and devastating accident. During a night out downtown, an individual tragically slipped and fell into her, causing a severe injury — a broken tibia and a torn ACL. Dream underwent emergency surgery, during which doctors placed two rods and a metal plate to stabilize her leg. Unfortunately, she is now facing a second surgery as part of her recovery journey.

As overwhelming as this experience has been physically and emotionally, the financial burden has added even more hardship. Dream’s insurance does not cover critical parts of her rehabilitation, including a home care nurse, necessary medical equipment, and extensive physical therapy. Living on the second floor and being unable to bear weight on her injured leg for the next 3–4 months has made even the simplest daily tasks incredibly challenging.

Despite the tremendous support of her family and friends — who have been working tirelessly to assist her — Dream is facing months without the ability to work and the uncertainty of when temporary disability assistance will begin.
